Ted Edmonds
Ted Edmonds is Director of Community Support for the YYC Data Society, Director of Finance for Kenn
Borek Air, and co-founder of the Deep Learning Fellowship meetup group. He has an undergraduate
degree in economics, an MBA degree, and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
Ted is a data enthusiast who discovered his interest in data analytics during his degree in economics. His
interest grew into a deep passion for data-driven decision-making while pursuing his MBA. Since 2002,
Ted has been taking courses and studying various areas of data analysis such as data mining, predictive
analytics, data science, and machine learning. He is constantly seeking to expand his knowledge and
improve his skills and is committed to leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and create
better solutions for complex business problems.
Ted is a firm believer in the importance of a strong community for mutual support, creativity, and
innovation. When individuals come together to form a community, they share a common purpose,
goals, and interests. This shared identity creates a sense of belonging and support, which can be
invaluable during challenging times. A strong community provides a network of people who can provide
emotional, social, and practical support, helping individuals overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
