Trick or Treat! Join us for pizza, candy and two great data science talks! First up we have Benjamin Reeves, Partner and Senior VP of Data Science and Engineering, as he unravels the challenges, lessons, and achievements experienced during the evolution of Viewpoint's global quant investing platform. Next, we have Mark Olson, President of Flokk systems. Flokk provides services and devices that affordably integrate information collection with agriculture field operations, ensuring current and accurate management information and regulatory reporting.

Powering these models are suites of services providing end-to-end automation of all phases of the investment process including data ingestion, feature engineering, optimization, trading, and reporting. **Mark Olson - Flokk Systems**
Mark is founder and President of Flokk Systems, a Canadian AgTech startup.His diverse background in open source software, IT leadership, and agriculture provides the background to necessary to deliver solutions that address the infrastructure, working environment, and economic realities, of Canadian agriculture.
His experience with open systems goes back to the early 90's beginning with Yggdrasil Linux, and the entire stack and operating environment of Flokk is based on open source systems. Mark lives and works in rural Alberta, and has a lifetime’s experience in primary Agriculture.
